Two Parts of the Trade Show at WIREC 2008: Conference and Exposition

The Trade Show at WIREC 2008 had two components: a business conference and an exhibition.

Conference: The business conference had seven tracks of six sessions over two days with industry-leading speakers on each of the technologies, plus sessions on markets, industry, financing, and policy. The technologies included wind, solar, hydro, ocean, geothermal, biomass, biofuels, and waste energy. Additional clean technologies included hydrogen, fuel cells, batteries and other energy storage, electric transmission, smart grid, cogeneration systems, distributed generation, energy efficiency, green buildings, and many others related to renewable energy.  The business conference featured over 250 expert speakers.  Business Conference Agenda.

Exposition: The exposition featured 246 renewable energy technology suppliers, systems integrators, financiers, professional services firms, end users, utility companies, energy companies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, associations, government agencies, foreign governments and economic missions, and other exhibitors. Tuesday, March 4: 12:00 noon - 7:30 pm, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm (Opening Reception)
Wednesday, March 5: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Thursday, March 6: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

It was also co-located at the Washington Convention Center from March 3-7th of are the ministerial-level government meeting, the Washington International Renewable Energy Conference (WIREC) 2008, and the Official Side Events.
