What are the registration options?  
1. The Trade Show at WIREC 2008 can be attended by anyone. Please visit the registration

Do I have to pay to attend if I am speaking at the official side events, business conference or at
the Ministerial conference?
 
  • If you are speaking or attending an Official Side Event at WIREC 2008, you will need to register for either the Ministerial Conference or the Business Conference.

  • If you are speaking at the Business Conference, standard complementary registration will
    be issued.

  • If you are speaking at the Ministerial Conference, please contact the ministerial event
    organizers at the U.S Energy association at cassettamv@state.gov.


Do I have to pay to attend if I am a sponsor?  
Customized sponsorship packages offer different levels of attendance. Please refer to the
Sponsorship Prospectus or contact Tom Weirch at weirich@acore.org.


Do I have to pay to attend if I am exhibiting?  
Exhibitors are granted an allocation of passes as part of their exhibit booth agreement. Please
refer to your agreement and register booth personnel .


How will I receive my registration badge?  
All badges will be issued on site, beginning Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at the Washington
Convention Center.


Where will the trade show, business conference, official side events and ministerial meeting be
held?
 


All events and activities will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Place, Washington, DC, 20001.
Cancellation  
Refunds minus a $100 administrative fee are available until February 1st, 2008. After February 1st,
you are welcome to send a substitute in your place, but no refunds will be issued.
What happens when I arrive at the conference?  
Arrival - Check in at the Tradeshow & WIREC registration desk.

Refreshments.
  • Lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided on March 4-6.

  • Receptions with refreshments will also be occurring on March 4th and March 6th.


  • Documentation.
  • On-site, participants will receive the following:

    • Official Agenda

    • Name Badge

    • Exhibition floor guide

    • Following the event, presentation slides and web-based videos will be available online
      within several weeks.

  • Business attire is recommended throughout the conference.

    • A host of evening events are being planned for March 2nd - 6th. Please check in close
      to the event for the definite schedule.
    How do I get to Washington, DC for WIREC?  
    3 Major Airports:
    • Ronald Reagan Airport, (fifteen minutes from the city center)

    • Dulles International Airport (forty-five minutes from the city center)

    • Baltimore-Washington International Airport (one hour from the city center)
    How do I get around DC?  
    Railroad and Subway:
    • Amtrak (railroad)

    • METRO (subway) The Center is located on the Green and Yellow lines at the Mt. Vernon Square/C 7th Street Convention Center stop.
    Taxis:
    The Convention Center is located between 7th and 9th Streets and N Street and Mt. Vernon Place, Northwest in downtown Washington, DC, right across from the new City Museum.
    Where can I Stay?  
    • Please visit our Hotel reservation site. This website can be used to make housing
      reservations for this event. Specially discounted rooms have been blocked off for WRIEC attendees.
